Campaign for volunteering in Székesfehérvár

“We should use screws for that woodsheet!”
Our colleagues are working, although they do not work on our automats, but – as volunteers – they put together woodpanels, which later will work as giant canvases in the city’s ‘It’s important to Volunteer’ campaign.
On the 18th of March, the city of Székesfehérvár, Hungary organized a campaign to draw attention on the importance of volunteering and helping the community.
Since these values are very important to us as well, we offered to put together and set up wood panels, creating a giant pent angular ‘canvas’ wall. Later in the afternoon, five groups painted their own theme on the wall: all topics focused on helping a vulnerable group of people such as the visually impaired, the elderly, the children, the handicapped or the poor.
As Róbert Almás, IVM’s group leader stated: “Volunteering does not necessarily mean that you start helping others full-time…it can start with small gestures, such as offer your seat on the bus, donating a small sum or helping out a person in need.”
